Ok Today is day 1 of my fast

I started with lots of water !!!

I always like it when I fast for a few days or more as I make loads of effort to Exfoliate, Meditate and gift myself some Reiki.

I really get into giving myself some love. Any mother with young children knows how difficult that can be !!!!! *laughter*

I had my first smoothie at 12pm a yummy Banana, cinnamon and honey delight.

I am going to try some Buddhist meditation today (I have not meditated this way for some time)

I just want to clear my mind of everything Past, Present and Future and think of nothing.

My meditations take me on such adventures now, that sometimes I come out more exhausted.....!

I have been so busy with life at the moment...lol

Haven't you noticed that it is always all or nothing!!!!!

One minute time is passing you by and ya thinking what shall I do...!

Then at the blink of an eye you have everything you want and more...lol

"But Oh Man" ! Now I have something else to moan about.....!!!! I have not enough time to do it all..... AAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGG... Boo hoo !!! lol.

I am presently studying for three different spiritual and raw qualifications, along with writing a monthly article for timeless spirit magazine (Thank you Aleesha for such a fantastic opportunity) trying to Blog, and help out Raw Related clients. And soooo much more.......x

And then trying to be with my four yummy delights and everything else that comes with children and running a home.

So I have kinda decluttered the things I could in my life to focus on all the things that are important and fun to me.....! So yeah the children stayed....lol

All the things I have mentioned stayed...((Hugs))

I am so blessed to be in the position I am in.. I am exactly were I have always wanted to be.

I have one big decision to make weather Remain in Suffolk, the place we have known for such a long time as home.

Or we move the children to Hampshire to start again.

I am not sure weather I will live here for many years, what I do know is right now in the Present this place feels right.

Hubby is happy for us to stay here,I don't want this to sound wrong but his life is easier with-out having to worry about us.

What I mean is we are all happy here. Moving me and the children to new surrounding will just un-balance the harmony of things...lol

Now I know some people believe we should all stay together and the children will adapt and we are military and that is part and parcel.

Generally the people with such great advice are not connected to the Army and have never had to move in there life let alone with four children,3 dogs, 2 guinea pigs and the rest of the chaos that comes with a large family.

Now some would say "I have made my bed with the choices I have made"....Yes...And I so have no regret on any of them.((Hugs))

I am at a place in my life and my children's life that I do not want change right now.

And trust me I do not hoard anything, I am not materialistic at all. Yet the thought of packing all this up for two years does not appeal at all....lol Oh Man !!!! So not.

So hubby and I can not make a decision...lol

The children can't decide...lol

So I am gonna ask the cards.....Oh Man !!!lol (Thanks Aleesha for the suggestion)

So there it is,that is were I am at, at the moment, Thank you to you guy's that have been mailing me to see if I was ok...yayyyyy.

I am happy, happy,happy in the moment. Tomorrow is the future. For today I am so happy with the Present....x

Life in the Raw
"Self"

Definition: Some one's characteristics such as personality and ability, which are not physical and make that person different from others.

I am a young teenager, a taxi driver, cleaner, educator, dog walker, school helper and the wife of a British soldier.

Who am I? I am the incredibly lucky mother of four beautiful children, who wakes every morning to embrace the beauty of life. Am I really a teenager? People always tell me I look healthy and energetic for my age. But who am I? I look in the mirror, no longer the 18 year old girl I once was and still feel. I look at the woman in the mirror, the woman who was born and raised in south Yorkshire, England. The woman who was brought up on roast dinners and if I was a good girl and ate all my food, I was allowed to dive into a mass of sponge and custard for pudding.

I am no longer that girl.

I still see the girl though that joined the Army just to escape her over-controlling father. From an early age I felt different from everyone else in my family I just didn't seem to fit in. Every belief I had was the opposite of theirs. I was compassionate about everything in life. I wanted to save the world. I wanted to make a difference. I could not understand why the grownups around me did not seem interested in the sadness around them.

I can still hear my father's voice telling me charity starts at home and stays at home. But no matter what you believe, how sad other peoples circumstance makes you feel, if you are constantly being told by the people around you, who you respect and love dearly, that your choices and actions are wrong, you question your self, your choices and your beliefs. In spite of all this… I knew from an early age that I would be where I am now.

It took a few tragic events for me to live the life I do now. I am far from the girl from Yorkshire; I am far from the woman who served her country for 10 yrs. Or am I?

No I am still all of them. The only difference now is I don't suppress my thought and beliefs. I stand up for myself and let myself be heard and counted. I fight for others and their causes. I intentionally stand out in the crowd with my long blonde dreaded hair, pierced nose and lip.

My children never judge people by what they see on the outside - always looking for the beauty with-in.

I lead my children into battle daily to challenge authority, and I teach my children to respect others—always remembering we are all equal. We, as a unit are compassionate about life.

So self, who am I? For today only I will give myself a label, I am a 35 yr old Raw Vegan, I so dislike labelling myself. I am a qualified Personal Fitness Instructor, a Reiki Practitioner, Indian Head Massage Therapist, a Natural Juice Therapist, a Raw Motivational Speaker and I run Re-treats and Raw Food Classes for Families. I am a woman who educates herself purely to help others. I am slimmer, stronger and fitter now than I was 15 yrs ago. I have had 3 home births with no pain relief. I am never sick and joyfully survive on 5 hrs sleep a night. Two of my children are still at home through the day as my eldest has just turned 8 and my youngest 3. I don't get halfway through the day and begin fighting off the urge to sleep like most young mothers around me do, complaining how tired they are. Why?

I am 100% sure it is due to my diet. My diet is simple, nothing fancy. In the beginning I questioned whether I was really raw because when I read what other raw people were eating my diet seemed lazy and simple. I don't dehydrate or worry about which super food is the "in thing" this week. I juice all my greens and eat predominantly fruit and nuts. I like the simplicity of it all.

My favourite food at the moment is chopped up bananas, sunflower seeds, cinnamon, drizzled with honey and all mixed up in a bowl. Yum. It is winter here now so I guess this has become my winter comfort food.

I like to juice and water fast for the day a couple of times a week. I follow, in this moment in time, a 100% raw vegan diet. I don't know if next week I will be where I am now. You never know where your situation will find you… I would never return to cooked dead food - I know that for sure. I just listen to what my body needs and at the moment it is happy with what I am feeding it. During the years when I was transitioning to "all raw", I struggled with what to call myself. I wasn't officially "raw" since I still ate some cooked food. I wasn't eating more than a couple of cooked meals a month; however it simply seemed untruthful to call myself a Raw Foodist. I wasn't a vegan either because at least one of those meals that I'd eat would include a boiled egg. I decided to call myself an "Aspiring Raw Foodist" and it felt cool for a while. But then the term became misconstrued depending on the connotation it carried for different people. Some people were wise and loving, whereas others were militant and judgmental. Why in the world would I attach myself to a label which doesn't necessarily represent me? So I decided that I wouldn't. Now when people ask I say "No labels, thank you very much! I eat what nature intended me to eat!"

Self… I am a naturally raw girl. How incredibly liberating!




Nicola Watt is a Raw Food Coach and a Natural Juice Therapist. Born in England in the United Kingdom in 1974 she is also a Certified Personal Training Instructor, Reiki Practitioner, Indian Head Massage Therapist and Tarot Card Reader.

As well as writing for Timeless Spirit as a columnist she writes raw e-books on weight-loss for health and allergy prevention and she facilitates Raw Spiritual workshops and re-treats.

She is currently studying to become a Master Juicer which is officially recognized by the CMA (complementary Medical Association). She is a Tarot Card Reader and is about to qualify as a Reiki Master.

We Will Never Forget........x

Merry Xmas All

Her hair was up in a pony tail,
Her favourite dress tied with a bow.
Today was Daddy's Day at school,
And she couldn't wait to go.

But her mommy tried to tell her,
That she probably should stay home.
Why the kids might not understand,
If she went to school alone.

But she was not afraid;
She knew just what to say.
What to tell her classmates
Of why he wasn't there today.

But still her mother worried,
For her to face this day alone.
And that was why once again,
She tried to keep her daughter home.

But the little girl went to school
Eager to tell them all.
About a dad she never sees
A dad who never calls.

There were daddies along the wall in back,
For everyone to meet.
Children squirming impatiently,
Anxious in their seats

One by one the teacher called
A student from the class.
To introduce their daddy,
As seconds slowly passed.

At last the teacher called her name,
Every child turned to stare.
Each of them was searching,
A man who wasn't there.

'Where's her daddy at?'
She heard a boy call out.
'She probably doesn't have one,'
Another student dared to shout.

And from somewhere near the back,
She heard a daddy say,
'Looks like another deadbeat dad,
Too busy to waste his day.'

The words did not offend her,
As she smiled up at her Mom.
And looked back at her teacher,
Who told her to go on.
And with hands behind her back,
Slowly she began to speak.
And out from the mouth of a child,
Came words incredibly unique.

'My Daddy couldn't be here,
Because he lives so far away.
But I know he wishes he could be,
Since this is such a special day.

And though you cannot meet him,
I wanted you to know.
All about my daddy,
And how much he loves me so.

He loved to tell me stories
He taught me to ride my bike.
He surprised me with pink roses,
And taught me to fly a kite.

We used to share fudge sundaes,
And ice cream in a cone.
And though you cannot see him.
I'm not standing here alone.

'Cause my daddy's always with me,
Even though we are apart
I know because he told me,
He'll forever be in my heart'
With that, her little hand reached up,
And lay across her chest.
Feeling her own heartbeat,
Beneath her favourite dress.

And from somewhere here in the crowd of dads,
Her mother stood in tears.
Proudly watching her daughter,
Who was wise beyond her years.

For she stood up for the love
Of a man not in her life.
Doing what was best for her,
Doing what was right.

And when she dropped her hand back down,
Staring straight into the crowd.
She finished with a voice so soft,
But its message clear and loud.

'I love my daddy very much,
he's my shining star.
And if he could, he'd be here,
But heaven's just too far.

You see he is a British soldier
And died just this past year
When a roadside bomb hit his convoy
And taught Britons to fear.
But sometimes when I close my eyes,
it's like he never went away.'
And then she closed her eyes,
And saw him there that day.

And to her mother’s amazement,
She witnessed with surprise.
A room full of daddies and children,
All starting to close their eyes.

Who knows what they saw before them,
Who knows what they felt inside.
Perhaps for merely a second,
They saw him at her side.

'I know you're with me Daddy,'
To the silence she called out.
And what happened next made believers,
Of those once filled with doubt.

Not one in that room could explain it,
For each of their eyes had been closed.
But there on the desk beside her,
Was a fragrant long-stemmed rose.



And a child was blessed, if only for a moment,
By the love of her shining star.
And given the gift of believing,
That heaven is never too far.


Send this to the people you'll never forget and
Remember to send it also to the person that sent
It to you. It's a short message to let them know
That you'll never forget them.

in a hurry and that you've forgotten your
friends.

Beautiful

Feet are up !!!

I am just going to sip on my glass of milk (substitute) before I do a little focused relaxation....! MEDITATION......X

My children have had a lovely noisy day. ((Even Better))

Milk Substitute

1/2 cantaloupe melon
Slice into Chunks and Place into Blender
Add 4-6 Ice Cubes
Pour in enough Water to cover the Cantaloupe
Then blend on high for about 1 minute

When it is whipped up it has a sweet creamy consistency which is perfect for anybody who craves drinking milk.

I some times add a Date, Honey or a spice like Cinnamon.

I am having loads of green smoothies at the moment, the one I had this evening is fantastic for people that don't care for greens much, but care about the importance of having them.

Tropical Green

Place in your Blender
One Banana
One Mango
Two pieces of Romaine Lettuce
Four cups Water
Whizz
Pour into your glass over ice

Yummy drink and you can't taste the lettuce at all, Nice tropical fruity drink.

So guy's short again ((((SORRY))))

Think I'm Back !!!!!

Sorry guy's been so busy I had to stop blogging ((Hugs))

Been a little stressed but feeling calmer now....!!

Had not noticed but I had stopped eating as many Bananas as I normally do....!

I woke up a couple of mornings ago and thought !!!

"Oh Man" !! Now I know whats wrong lol

I always have a ton of stress in my life,,,, OK It as got a little WACKY lately, but what is different. ?????

fast over

Ok piece of cake !!!

Missed the sensation to chew half way through but that soon past.

Think I may also of gained a few pounds in the middle down to having tons of Avocados......lol

I cut all those out in the last few days and I think I am back were I started....x

As you all know this one was for my own research in helping others clear infection or disease in their own body.

I have many friends who feast and fast for long periods one which did a 90 day feast
((Oh Man !!! I take my hat off to them now.....lol))

Not because it was hard going on hunger as It really was not !!! I was just really conscious of getting the calories in.

I was so desperate and aware that this had to make me feel even better.

I was expecting some Detox to happen but I did not want to find I was not getting enough calories in and that in it's self made me sick.

But yippee ye - ayyyyyy all was well. I am quite free about when and what I eat, yet did not feel that way about the feast.

I am quite a naturally raw person, I like to keep it simple and little time preparing, were as with the juices and smoothies due to the continued amount I had to consume I felt tied to the juicer or blender at time's

This sounds bizarre even to me as I do consume at least three juice or smoothies on most days.

But I guess with a water fast day thrown in there as well I don't normally feel so connected to the gadgets in a non - spiritual way that is......lol

So Its now gentleness all the way this week to break myself back into eating solids again.

And banana cinnamon pud Watch Out !!!!! I will so find you today ((Hugs))

Not sure if I will blog again until after the weekend it's kinda mad here at the moment.

The e-books are selling really well.

Thank you guy's for your support.

It is hubby's last weekend home now until the 18th December so we are gonna have a really family one.

Respect

Hi Guy's I just had to share this story with you all.

It was sent to me over the weekend.

The Story Begins

Last week I was in West London attending a conference.

While I was in the airport, returning home, I heard several people behind me beginning to clap and cheer.

I immediately turned around and witnessed one of the greatest acts of patriotism I have ever seen.

Moving through the terminal was a group of soldiers in their uniforms, as they began heading to their gate everyone (well almost everyone) was abruptly to their feet with their hands waving and cheering.

When I saw the soldiers, probably 30-40 of them, being applauded and cheered for, it hit me. I'm not alone. I'm not the only red blooded Briton who still loves this country and supports our troops and their families. Of course I immediately stopped and began clapping for these young unsung heroes who are putting their lives on the line everyday for us so we can go to school, work, and enjoy our home without fear of reprisal.

Just when I thought I could not be more proud of my country or of our service men and women a young girl, not more than 6 or 7 years old, ran up to one of the male soldiers.

He knelt down and said 'hi,' the little girl then asked him if he would give something to her daddy for her.

The young soldier didn't look any older than maybe 22 himself, said he would try and what did she want to give to her daddy.

Suddenly the little girl grabbed the neck of this soldier, gave him the biggest hug she could muster and then kissed him on the cheek.

The mother of the little girl, who said her daughter’s name was Courtney, told the young soldier that her husband was a Corporal and had been in Afghanistan for 5 months now.

As the mum was explaining how much her daughter, Courtney, missed her father, the young soldier began to tear up.

When this temporarily single mum was done explaining her situation, all of the soldiers huddled together for a brief second.

Then one of the other servicemen pulled out a military looking walkie-talkie.

They started playing with the device and talking back and forth on it.

After about 10-15 seconds of this, the young soldier walked back over to Courtney, bent down and said this to her, 'I spoke to your daddy and he told me to give this to you.'

He then hugged this little girl that he had just met and gave her a Kiss on the cheek.

He finished by saying 'Your daddy told me to tell you that he loves you more than anything and he is coming home very soon.'

The mum at this point was crying almost uncontrollably and as the young soldier stood to his feet he saluted Courtney and her mum.

I was standing no more than 6 feet away as this entire event unfolded.

As the soldiers began to leave, heading towards their gate, people resumed their applause.

As I stood there applauding and looked around, there were very few dry eyes, including my own.

That young soldier in one last act of moment turned around and blew a kiss to Courtney with a tear rolling down his cheek.

We need to remember everyday all of our soldiers and their families and thank God for them and their sacrifices.

At the end of the day, it's good to be an Englishman.

RED FRIDAYS

Very soon, you will see a great many people wearing Red every Friday.

The reason?

Englishmen and women who support our troops used to be called the 'silent majority'.

We are no longer silent, and are voicing our love for Country and home in record breaking numbers.

We are not organized, boisterous or over-bearing.

We get no liberal media coverage on TV, to reflect our message or our opinions.
Many English people, like you, me and all our friends, simply want to recognize that the vast majority of Britain supports our troops.

Our idea of showing solidarity and support for our troops with dignity and respect starts this Friday and continues each and every Friday until the troops all come home, sending a deafening message that every Briton who supports our men and women afar will wear something red.

By word of mouth, press, TV, let's make Great Britain on every Friday a sea of red much like a homecoming football team

If every one of us who loves this country will share this with acquaintances, co-workers, friends, and family, It will not be long before Britain is covered in RED and it will let our troops know the once 'silent' majority is on their side more than ever, certainly more than the media lets on.

The first thing a soldier says when asked 'What can we do to make things better for you?' is...'We need your support and your prayers'...

Let's get the word out and lead with class and dignity, by example; and wear something red every Friday.

Day 8, I think !!!!!!

You cannot feed an emotional hunger with food - you can only feed a physical hunger.

Anything you eat when not genuinely physically hungry will be stored as fat !

I eat emotionally, Good job I do as I would of faded away by now,...! (Statement)

This week as been a piece of cake !!!

It's been easy as I have had lots of filling Juices and Smoothies, Today it's gonna get harder.....lol. Why !!!

Because now I need to challenge myself....Only kidding uhmmmmm or am I ?

I have been drinking lots of green juices/smoothies.

I have juiced:-

3 apples
Large handful of spinach
1 cucumber
3 sticks of celery

I have then poured this ingredients into my blender adding an avocado and a banana ..

Loadsa calories Yum !!!!

As you guy's know I am doing this purely to document the ups, downs and symptoms, so I can use this particular programme to help someone rid a debilitating illness.

I feel as though I have gained a few pounds but that is because I have drank that particular juice twice a day along with lots of nut milk. (Healthy weight gain.)

So I am now passed 1/2 way I have had no symptoms fever etc, but I think that's more due to the fact that my body is used to doing a six day fast.

So I am thinking the fevers are on there way...... lol.

I have not felt hungry (due to the amount in the juices)

I have had a couple of days were I have not felt completely balanced but that's due to someone around me feeling sad.

I am an emotional eater !!!!!!

To be honest I don't eat very much for hunger.

I eat more when I am sad and so much less when happy..

So for those couple of days I was slightly tempted to eat but that passed quickly when I stepped back into the moment...((Hugs))

So for the second phase I am going to try and keep the liquids lighter which will encourage the clean out to up the score.

So this week I intend to water and nut milk fast in a morning then have a couple of juices or smoothies in the afternoon.

Which is when I tend to want more, I tend to get hunger pangs between 2-3pm....and then again at 8pm...The 8pm one is emotional.

My house becomes quiet the children are all in bed then I stand still and go...

Oh what shall I do now!

I am not very good at doing nothing...lol.

Hence four children, three dogs, two guinea pigs....lol

And everything else life throws at us..(Hugs all)

The Seven Deadly Dietary Sins

'Deadly' may sound somewhat over the top, but as the following dietary sins contribute heavily towards thousands of premature deaths every year in the UK alone....Maybe mot...!

I believe knowing about the foods that are high in refined salt,fat and sugar is important.

Knowing that these contribute to more disease and premature deaths than all illegal drugs combined ! Gives us choices.... If we know, we can take Action.

It might be asking too much to eliminate all seven deadly sins from your diet given that they are hidden in almost every convenience food we consume.

But cutting down on them or swapping them for an abundance of foods from the six Essential Dietary Needs will make a significant difference to your body shape,energy levels and overall health.

So Refined Sugar, Refined Fats, Alcohol,Artificial Sweeteners, Caffeine, Salt, Dairy Products are all responsible for thousands of deaths and the start of most diseases.

To be honest to avoid all these completely you have to go natural.... Back to your porridge for breakfast, Soup for lunch and Your Meat and veg for dinner.

All fresh ingredients. Obviously this way would of been cooked I just took it to the next level to get the best out of it all.

I have no opinion on how Raw someone should be (some raw foodists are very out spoken on this) If you are 50% raw and suffer no illness and you are happy with how you feel then that works for you...((Hugs))

I am a all or nothing kind of girl, I can't do a little of something, I have no willpower.

I took all of the process out of my life as that was the only way to keep me focused.

People ask me how am I not tempted...!!! Easy don't have them in the house.

Once upon a time if those item were in my house I would of eaten them rather than the fruit or veg... Which was no good so they for me all had to go.

And having four young children it is not as though I can just pop out to the shop for a quick chocolate fix !!!LOL

I recently read a statement saying that the Raw food diet was an Extreme Diet !!!!lol

It is natural

It is what we are supposed to eat

It is now classed as extreme because we are educated to believe that burgers,chips or ice cream to name a few is actually ok to eat.... Please....You wanna eat it fine but lets not kid our self.

We ain't eating it to benefit us nutritionally...Are We..lol.

The Government is now working hard with the NHS to educate us on how to get our minimum of 5 a day.

Come on what as happened where did that become so difficult to do.

I was once there. Feed your child 3 processed meals a day and there is not much room for the snacks on fruit.

Skip the processed for Breakfast and already you Mummy Will Make A Difference.

One smoothie with maybe 3 pieces of fruit in it and a banana before school, they are already nearly there.

Fruit is offered in most schools now at snack time...

If anyone out there would like some tips specially if you are on a budget, let me know and we can throw some ideas around.

It fact add some Banana or Dates...or both to this and you have a fab Raw yogurt, or pop in the freezer and you have yummy Raw Ice cream.

Drizzle with honey once in your bowl.....Oh My!!!!!

Oh Guess I will be trying that in 11 days...lol

You never stop finding New good natural foods from the Raw Pyramid....Yummy.

Green Juice

Juice:-

1 Cucumber
2 Green Apples

Pour into Blender
Add the meat of 1 Avocado
Whiz
Enjoy !!!!

6 Litres Ice cold Water.

Having it at room temperature is so much more gentler on your body, Less work.

I just was not in the mood for warm Water today,......Mi little taste buddies needed a bit more help today...lol.

Hubby is away in Norway in December so I am going to go some Xmas shopping with-out four little guy's in tow.

Not that I could moan if they are in tow,he is living in an Igloo for two weeks.

She is glowing.... I have never seen her with such a jump in her step Wicked!!!!

Well done you (((Hugs))).

She as now released 8lbs in less than 2 weeks !!

2 Litres Water

Melon and Cranberry Smoothies

Simply cut open melon,
Throw away seeds,
Scoop out meat in to blender,
Throw away skin.
Handful of cranberries into Blender
One large mug water
Whiz
Pour
Add Ice

3 Spiced Teas

Strawberry and Raspberry Smoothie

Lrg Handful of Ice Burg Lettuce
(Getting my greens, you can't taste it.)
2 Bananas
Handful of Strawberries
Handful of Raspberries
Lrg mug of Water ( Use rice or nut milk if you want it creamy )
Whiz
Pour

Then I think it will be some Reiki time for me.

Day 1

Ok

I had 6 litres Water
3 Nut Milks
2 Spiced Teas
1 carrot juice
2 Banana and coconut smoothies

I had/did

I Made a Celtic Sea Salt Face Scrub

I Dry Skin Brushed all over.

Our skin is our biggest organ we eliminate tons of waste through our skin, if we don't brush away the waste it sits on the skin.

My face was really dry after the bath and I would normally use my normal moisturiser, but !!!!!! so..... *no*.

So I used a little Pure Natural Oil of Cold Pressed Hemp Seed rich in Omega 3, 6 and 9. !

Yes that is the oil you put on your salad, beside smelling a little nutty it did the trick. lol

So glad Hubby is not here,,, not sure if he would want to eat me or re-bath me ((So Laughing)).

So Lot's of carrot juice and green juices tomorrow.

Now I am off to Brush my teeth... Not quite ready to share this one with you lol....hugs.

Revolution !!!!

My New friend is finding out How Awesome the Raw food Diet is !!! maybe one day I will request her permission in allowing you all to read her letters to me.

The energy and excitement in her is amazing. She is now on Day 3 of her juice feast, Yesterday I could see her Aura from 1/2 a mile away ""Amazing"".

She had a variety of small complaints that after only one week of eating Raw with a little meat and fish had disappeared.

Her weight release had not been as good as I would of liked for her hence the 3 day feast just to release a few more.

Although she wants to release some weight that is not what is driving her. She is now addicted to the feeling **Of Pure Wellness**

I made a decision yesterday evening to break the feast I had joined her on so I could allow myself my favorite smoothie and my Banana delight pudding before I start my own 14 day juice and smoothie feast.

I could of included the three days but I like to make a decision a fresh not on the back burn of another.

So here goes 14 days.

I have only done 6 days before, I have never been uncomfortable with this but always been aware that going over the 6 days for me would take me up to that next level of Detox a real clean out, !!!!!!

Which will leave me on some days feeling a little groggy and feverish similar to the feelings you experience on day 3 of the SUK Diet (Standard uk Diet).

I am so looking forward to powering my body with Pure Sunshine.

Feasting as I have stated before gives your body everything it needs without feeling sluggish.

I will document it all and put it in a e-book at the end,Stating all the ups and if any the downs.

Why have I decided to do this now...Simple a very dear lady who I know off is now in the last stages of her battle to try and beat cancer, she is not winning, she is now in a hospice and will leave behind an husband and two beautiful children.

One day I want to try and help people with Cancer through Feasting/fasting and Reiki.

I have a friend who cured her own cancer (a brain tumor) she refused medical intervention and researched alternatives.

She had not been Raw up to the point of finding the tumour, However the minute it was found she went completely raw...... bought a juicer and against all medical belief the tumour had disappeared when she returned to the hospital after 10 months.

I have come across many similar stories while researching the Raw Food Diet.

As many of you know I follow this path due to seeing my own mother die of a very aggressive cancer.

I have lost many special people in my life to such an aggressive disease that it really is time to try another way of fighting.

I sooooooo... wish we had known about this lifestyle then ((Hugs Mum)).

Anyway how can I guide others if I don't experience the juice delights first hand,also for 14 days I am going to try to eliminate using any chemicals on my body,

I am not obsessed yet I do use make-up, face cream and deodorant.

I want to experience all,.... so that my patient/client can be reassured that these are the symptoms of the clean out of waste matter in their body and not the disease becoming more aggressive.

I am so used to putting my face on in the morning, It is not a vanity thing for me more the fact that I look bloody naked...lol
But for the cause it will be worth it ((I hope )) lol.

So there it is...

Today I filled my house with candles.....

As today is the 11Th Month Of the 11Th Day....

And on the 11Th hr I thanked all those that fought to allow me to be here ,,,,,

Supporting

Today I joined a friend of mine on a Three Day Green JUICE Fast !!!!!

Why !!!!!

Right now I am not flip pin sure .....lol Only kidding You ....(Hugs)

This friend as been Raw for a very short time ....

I bow my head to her !!! she is embracing it ,,,,, Taking Action and responsibility for her own well being, her own health in her own hands not that of a doctor. (Who happen's to know absolutly nothing about nutrition)

This is her first juice fast so I decided to join her on it,,,, We can compare notes throughout and at the end.

My family and I had a fantastic weekend, we threw a Belated Birthday Party for my two oldest children and my Nephew Ethan.

We did an Halloween theme and we Rocked the joint....It was Awesome...

Our children were blessed by the amount of fantastic gifts that were given to them, (((Hugs))) To all you wicked mam mas and Pap pas out there.

Thank you to my life sis ta Clare for having the Awesome idea (((Hugs))) toooo Yoooou.

I have had many people approach me recently (Locals mainly) asking "how do I stay so focused in staying Raw when the people around me are not Raw".

My answer is simple we all follow our own path's and as long as the people around us are enveloped in the love and compassion for life that my friends have then our chosen diet are never really discussed.

My best est friend, my sis ta Clare is not Raw !!!!!! She only eats cooked veg not Raw.

Is that a problem to me ? NO !!!!

Why should it be.... If Clare ever decides to go Raw I know I am the first person she will ask for help. If she never does ... Then that still is not a problem.

I love Clare simply because....She loves me for who I am, Who I have been.

We were once Soldiers together. We are now mother's to our beautiful children and wives to our soldiers.

But mostly at the end of it all, as at the beginning... We still are life sista's whatever our chosen path's.

Thank you Clare for always allowing me to walk mine freely and never judging.

In our next life I might just join you for that lovely Roast Dinner that I occasionally smell cooking and oozing from your kitchen window ((Hugs))

Ok so after a really stressful couple of weeks I have had a outbreak of pimples!!!Yuk

So.... Although I don't normally fast on a Thursday, today I decided to give my self that extra bit of loving that my body obviously needs.....((Hugs)) to me.

Am..... lotsa and lotsa lemon and water (with a little piece of mint floating away on the top.

My lovely dogs have eaten most of it !!!!! hmmm so not laughing,,,,!

4 litres water

12pm Banana Milkshake on a budget (with limited ingredients)

2x Bananas.
Lrg mug of nut/rice milk my kids will only drink the rice milk.
2x 15ml sp of maple syrup.
1 x 15ml sp of vanilla Essence.
Tbsp of Almond nuts.
Whiz.
Pour over ice if desired.
Enjoy!!!!!

I always drink my smoothies with a straw, it slows me down I have a tendency to gulp.

I would not normally use the maple and vanilla, but we really have loads of bananas that if not eaten will be wasted and I so ate throwing away fruit.

It just proves you can still get lotsa goodness in with limited ingredients.

4 more litres of water.


Apple,Carrot and banana Juice

Juice 3 carrots
Juice 2 apples
Pour into Blender
Place 2 bananas in blender
Whiz
pour over ice in your glass
Enjoy.....!

I am not quick to snack on veg so juicing the carrots works great for me.

Large OJ (Orange Juice)

900mls
I juiced 5 oranges
Place 2 oranges in the Blender
Pour in juice
Whiz
Add ice
Enjoy !!

I peel all my oranges,some people leave the skins,,,, on fantastic goodness but I Really don't like the taste it leaves in my mouth.

If you do not have a juicer yet, then you can get OJ in the shops but make sure it says NOT FROM CONCENTRATE obviously fresh is best......x

More Water.......

Feasting

Today is my Feasting Day!!!!! This is the day I abstain from solids (fast) and feast on loads of smoothies and juices.

The amount of goodness I can pack into a smoothie would be impossible to eat, well I would be eating all day long.

Although I have always loved smoothies I really enjoyed the freedom of eating all day as well at the beginning.

Now that takes way to much time up lol... So I drink it and feel rested ((Giving my body some love and a rest))

So why juice it's much more fun eating !!!! (question I am always asked)

Simple .... you get more goodness in.

You do all the hard work for your body.

Your body can then work on the repair of all your organs.

which it does not get to do if your a three meal a day gal and snack er.

Oh Man !!!!! I went in the cupboard to get my cinnamon then alarm bells rang !!!

What could be wrong I hear you ask ?????

I'd flipping ran out lol hmmm sad girl I know..... I just so love my cinnamon at the moment.

So I found some vanilla essence lurking around at the back of the cupboard, Once purchased for something, Date and Nut Brownies I think.

So It's Wednesday always loads of bananas hanging around not good enough for the kids pack lunch but perfect for smoothies......Yum

2 bananas
1 apple
500 mils nut milk (Rice Milk for you non Raw)
Handful of lettuce leaves (optional..can't taste just putting in the green stuff)
Tbl Sp Vanilla Essence
Whiz all up
Pour over Ice if desired

Reiki, Juice, and Love

My children went to a Birthday Party at school yesterday,

And I spent all night healing my oldest son !!!!!

I was raw way before I changed the children, I was always very careful in what they would eat but the decision to go completely raw was down to the fact that my oldest son was becoming so terrible ill all the time.

One slice of Bread would be fine in a week, two would take him out of school for days.

He would show signs of a cold...snotty, wheezy, bad cough and by the end a mouth covered in cold sores.

Now school have know about this for some time.

My children go with pack lunch but on the party day it was food provided by the school.

Now the best treat I can give my children is the Raw food diet... I am gifting them daily with health and education, But children being so......! don't always see that when there is a giant chocolate cake sat in front of them.

So I knew yesterday that they would likely be filling up on pizza and ice cream, so I get him ready for this....I am so careful what he eats and remind him that if there is too much white stuff ie bread to avoid it...

By doing this I am trying to keep the amount consumed low.

Well he did as he was told, he told the chef when getting his pizza !!!!!!!

That he would leave the bread that was on offer .....Bless him.

They explained that they were both the same and I am yet to find out how the bread did actually end up on his plate.....!

However while sitting at the party table eating his lunch he asked a teacher if he could eat his pudding "No you must eat your bread" she said.

So after putting up his fight he did once again as he was told.

This teacher as known our situation for years, she as known my oldest son for years.

This teacher as a problem with either him or me!!!!!! (we have history)

She obviously thinks I dont know what I am talking about and as taken it upon herself to be God to my son.....Yes sorry you can sense how cross I am.

Now If my son had eaten all these things himself we would of dealt with it as we do and discuss what had caused him to feel that way.

So as soon as he was home I could see it all happening, So !!!!!! Doctor Mummy sets to work. lol,

I juiced 3 apples and he drank that straight down,,,,, funny how once It took so much effort for him to drink it yet now he knows the magic of the apple juice he drinks it with no question.


His breathing became more difficult through the night yet the apple juice had eased the coughing.

I laid with him all night giving him Reiki........

He looked refreshed this morning with a slight ticking noise in his chest. I looked dreadful....lol, I so hate my children being ill.

Once upon a time that would of taken days for him to recover from,, he would not eat for days and would loose so much weight.

This morning he wanted to keep his body light so opted only to drink a smoothie before going to school. 1 1/2 litres worth (lol) But he was so much better tonight.

As for the teacher hmmmmm well that's a story for another time. (((Hugs)))

Ok This weekend I am hoping to put another e-book together filled with smoothies and juices.

I want to charge £2 for the book.

I have a raw friend that lives over the water and as come across really hard times.

I try to send £50 british Pounds to her when ever I can.

She was my first Raw link and I feel in her debit forever.

She answered all my questions specially when the kids were transitioning (throwing up.... lol) that is so another story too but really bizarrare.....and funny..!

I need to sell 25 to double the usual amount I send her for xmas...

Cooler Raiders

Yesterday was play play play. We got all the games out that seem to collect dust when the oldest two are back at school.

My youngest child thought it was Christmas he was fascinated with his sisters Dora backpack that is full of fun games.

In fact he is playing with the domino's as i type. ((Hugs))

Yesterday would of been Day 6 of my fast but I woke up and decided I was going to break it for the day.
At no stage had I been hungry or felt deprived,I felt light and clean all week.

I always do mini fasts a couple of days a week and I fast when waking everyday until 12pm.

For you guys out there that are not Raw please realise when us raw dudes do this we are in control of our eating habits we do this to clean and rest our body (we are at an higher level of raw).

Please research fasting before you ever try it, please don't just do it, there are ways of starting and finishing a fast so not to cause any problems.

I don't very often just water fast I tend to do a day of smoothies or juices even sometimes a combination of both.

This one I needed purely to release a couple of extra pounds I had gained.

I released 5lb in 5 days by mostly drinking smoothies and loads of water.
So I had achieved my reason for fasting yesterday that I decided to break it for the day.....

Friday is fruit pick up day and we had a ton of fruit in the cooler yesterday that would of started to spoil if not eaten in it's natural form.

Anything that I know is not going to be eaten in time I tend to freeze,this is so rare that happens.

There are so many benefits to eating this way, but one which works for the children is the freedom of it all.

They are never forced to eat something, they listen to their body!!!!

I am under no stress to prepare food then to see it wasted at the end.(Our old processed cooked food life)

No preparation or clean up is necessary.

I have some really big bowls one holds the fruit we intend to eat the other for all the peels. We sit on the carpet peel, chat, job done nobody is under pressure to sit a certain way and they eat to their individual needs.

My oldest son had the following yesterday:

500 ml Fresh Orange juice
900 ml Smoothie
900 ml smoothie yes really again
2 large Bananas
2 Raw Bars (called NAKED bars, you can get them in most supermarkets now)
900 ml smoothie
Curried veg topped with boiled egg (eaten 1-2 times a week, they are veggie not vegans)
3 chopped up apples
6 satsumas
2 slices of Rye Toast with nut butter (again supermarket)
Strawberries, Banana, Grapes and raisins
900 ml smoothie
He also has a 700 ml bottle that is re-filled with water through out the day.

He is also free to go to the larder when he wants to graze on any dried fruits,nuts and Granola.

And I indulged in my banana, honey, cinnamon and nut butter obsession...lol

Oh It was so good to chew you again Mr Banana I had not realised I had missed you soooooooooo Muchhhhhh !!!lol.

Oh nearly forgot the children had the banana crumble version of my obsession...

So all in all a really free day.

I was intending to fast today then as I was preparing the children's lunch of which was a banana and rye sandwich and before I knew it I was spiralizing a couple of apples and peeling a carrot and cucumber,Mixed in my curry powder Yummmmm

I was obviously not meant to fast all day today I listen to my body.

Now I am fasting for the rest of the day and we will see what tomorrow brings us.

The day is coming to an end already I can see the night moving in from beyond the window.

Daddy is home tonight yippee!

Self Sufficient And Raw On A Budget

Simple smoothie

Invented by my youngest son.....

5oo mls Rice milk
Tb Sp cinnamon
Tb Sp Honey
Banana
Place all in blender
Whizz
Pour and Enjoy......

All these ingredients you can have in your cupboard.

The milk has a long life till opened.

There is only one fresh ingredients the banana.

You can make this with an apple or an orange the list really is endless.

I use this one when I am running low on fruit and it works if you have to stick to a budget.

It would be even cheaper if you made it from nut milk.
(I stick with nut milk or water now)

My youngest son loves this smoothie he would drink this particular one all day.

Because he makes it, it's even more appealing to him I think!

So generally he will drink about four of these, hmmm lol, that's four banana eaten all broken down for him less work on his body.... (how many bananas do you eat a day ?) lol


Curried fruit or veg


Have on it's own or as a side dish

Grate 2 apples
Tsp Curry Powder
Tsp of Mayonnaise (Non Raw) Agvar nectar, honey or apple juice if Raw.

Keep it simple or add raisins, grated carrot is good too or mix both together.

Also gives a feeling of warmth on a cold winters day that an apple in its natural form might not.

I own a gadget called a spiralizer, it turns the apple into spaghetti swirls but a grater will still do a good enough job until you are ready to invest.

There is so many ways you can make a apple or carrot more interesting by simply chopping it up and mixing in another natural ingredients.

These type of snacks work really well if you are a grazer or an addition to a meal.

I am keeping it short tonight but I will leave you with a question from my oldest son ?

He asked me this question when getting into bed tonight.

Give me a food that's not meat
Is vegetarian
Yet not Raw ??????

My kids love the children's one it takes them on a great adventure each night and really calms them down before sleeping or we all lay down on the living room floor on a Sunday afternoon and talk about our adventure at the end. ((Thumbs up))

Feasting

Today I had lots of smoothies !!!!!!

Pineapple coconut and banana was the hottie today, about 2 litres

6 litres of water....

warm nut milk and honey (about 1 pint)

Had a really pooh day today someone I thought cared about me as recently shed the coat she once wore and is showing her true colours.

She recently went out of her way to tell me how she doesn't like the way I live my life.

This really shocked me as it just came from know where,the week previous she was also going Raw,
I have known her for years well...... I obviously have not known her, but we are connected through family.

I never tell people how bad their diet is or how to live their lives....!!!

So honestly I find it difficult why others need to make people feel sad to make them selves happy.

Now I know that she is obviously jealous of what I have, she as nothing she is on her own.... But it still hurts.

So end of that one enough tears shed,,,,,

I am an emotional eater (oh yes we raw dudes still have that problem....Ok I do)

But today I took lots of deep breaths remembered who I am and stayed on my path of feasting.

Raw porridge

( I was asked today for a recipe so here goes)

I get steel cut oats from the wholesale department in the supermarket, health shop or on-line.

All the rest of the ingredients form the market or supermarket if I am rushed for time.

Raw Porridge ( apple and cinnamon flavour )

Handful of oats
Chop small banana
Grate an apple
Teaspoon of cinnamon
Tbsp of honey (Add more if desired)
Place all in bowl
Mix
The liquid is now your choice.

For the non Raw try Rice Dream Rice Milk.

I use water,apple juice or nut milk really depending on what I have in the house.

Just use enough liquid to cover your cereal.

Cover leave to stand at room temp or in the fridge.

The longer you leave it the softer it will become and the flavours mix I have made it the night before in some cases.

I no longer eat solids now though until lunch time (bowl movement first lol)

I make sure yesterdays food as left before I start the day.

Sorry for any one that did so not need to hear that....lol

Add more liquid if required when you go to eat it.

You can vary this raw porridge in loads of ways, I always keep the honey and banana.

I like to add different nuts and even mix in some hard Granola to give the crunch.

You can buy raw granola although I make mine.

Some oats
Honey
Raisins, nuts or dates
Mix altogether
Using a tea spoon scoop out mixture into little portions, place on a plate.
Place in the fridge use when you want. They go nice and chewy.

I use this mixture when I want something sweet.....I make a little pudding by adding a Banana and blend down some other fruit like strawberries to make a sauce yummmm!

Right then guy's I will sign off for the night.

I am going to pamper myself to a home made body scrub using cold pressed oil and Rock Sea Salt. Fantastic inside and out......

Closed Book !

Sorry........

I have been away for a little while.......Our journey as been a sad one although we are on our way back up the hill.

My oldest dog Atlanta as been really poorly, the vet was ready to put her down. ((Hugs Pants))

She as had trouble with her ears for many years all the cleaning and tablets were no longer removing the wax build up.

This was effecting all the other functions in her body, her balance was effected and the left side of her face was sagging due to her holding her head to one side.

After looking at this women ( The Vet) who had given up on my dog I suggested if they syringed her ears as a Doctor would do to a human that would help her.

So as we had nothing else to lose thats what we did. She had to be sedated so there was a risk due to her age.

I am guessing the vet believed it was a lot of money to spend when this problem will return. ????

I believed that if her ears were cleaned out the rest of the problems would improve.

Guess what she is a lot better.

I had wrote a blog about it at the time but to be honest it was completely depressing and although I am really open about my diet when asked I am not so good at talking about my problems.

I like to mull things over not debate them and moan about them. It works for me!!!!!

In that department I am a loner..... a closed book.

I feel there is no point discussing some things, anyway enough depressing you guys.....lol.

So since Atlanta came out of doggy hospital she as been RAW,,,,, yes you read right.

Dogs stomachs are designed to eat meat only were as.... most the products in the shops are mixed with everything but....!

The text step was always the dog but I always talked myself out of it !! Think it might of been the whole meat thing...lol

So at the moment she is ok.

We are waiting for the results to come back from the lab to see if the problem is treatable. I will keep you updated.

Ok where are we ....

We are doing great Noooooo colds still, kids are dropping around us with the cold and temperatures at the moment.

This will be our first winter as a family.... Raw.

This is always the worse time as I would constantly have one sick, they would take it in turns.

One would recover, one would be sick.

Doing sooooo Good at the moment.

I am on day four of a fast....I GAINED WEIGHT, Noooooooo.....lol

Reason... Nuts TOOOOOOOOO Many Nuts!!!!!

Some people work well on a raw diet eating lots of nuts others do not.. I come in the do not department.

With the events over the last few weeks and the weather change I was grazing all day on nuts.

I will blog about this later today.... I knew I was gaining weight I feel it,,, I do not need to weigh myself.

I am on the morning of Day 4 and have now lost 5lbs my clothes feel comfy again.

I am well into my juices and smoothies again which have been brushed to the side a little over the recent months. (Due to the change in weather I think)

Not sure whether I will Feast (Smoothies and juices for you none Raw guy's out there) or fast today !!!!!! Let you know when I do.

What A weekend !!!!!

What an Awesome weekend.......Hubby came home Yay......Then went...! Now in this country though ....breathe.

I joined the Gym.

I Fancy pumping some serious iron, intending on giving Angelina jolie a run for her money on the interviews for the next Tomb raider.

I have no desire to be skinny. Yuk ,,,,,,,

So lotsa weights it's gonna be.

(something I have always wanted to do yet lacked the dedication)

I do love stressing my heart rate so there will still be a hour of that daily.

I went to my first ever spin class yesterday..

I was walking like john Wayne this morning !!!! lol.

That was not enough pain though, I did an hour on the bike and rowing machine this morning

(((( Bring it on !!!!! )))) I Sooooooo Love Pain.....lol.

The Instructor at the spin class yesterday asked while we were spinning what I was laughing at !!!!

my reply was "I am hurting !!!!!.... And when I hurt, I laugh, I cant help it."

I had a beautiful day on Saturday ! I spent the day with the wonderful lady that gifted me with Reiki. We spent the whole day pampering and meditating......

Oh and I became a fully qualified Indian head Massage Therapist.

I have been working on this little project for a while and finally finished it this weekend.

I made an Awesome smoothie today that I gotta share this one.


Banana and Berry Cocktail / Ice Cream Slush

These are all Small Hand Measurements and filled a 500ml glass

(add ice and you would of had more but thinner)

Raspberries
Strawberries
Blueberries

Splash of water, just to give mixture an hand.

Whizz till smooth

Pour-Out into your glass

Now place:

One Banana
Pineapple
1/2 mug of Coconut Milk

Whizz till smooth

Pour into glass with berry mix

It not only tasted exceptional, Sweet and Smooth at the same time.

It looked fantastic!

The mixtures hugged one another, leaving the colours to gel but not mix.

The Kids loved it!!!!!!

To me it looked like a Cocktail you would get on holiday.

And the children called it an ice cream slush.

Liked it Sooooo Very Much I had it twice today.

Well that is it for me tonight. I have 30 Min's to give my Re-bounder, Then it's off to bed to do a past Life Meditation.

Soya Is The Most Mucus-Forming Plant Food On The Planet !

I know a Ton of vegetarians and vegans that aren't Raw. They also do not eat much fruit and vegetables and live on soya .

Why then I hear you ask are they following this path...... !!!!

Simply because they want to save the planet..... or it is cruel to animals.... or they don't like the taste,,,, hmmm.

The list is endless, never the less while helping others they are neglecting their own health.....!

Well calling all you veggies and vegans now, Reality check >>>>>> chances are your gonna be dead down to poor health way before you save the planet...lol.

Way before my family went Raw we ate soy occasionally, Well my children did.....

They always seemed poorly the week they ate it, My oldest son started with his Asthma around this time.

His Asthma would not just disappear with an in-haler he would struggle to breath for days,seem exhausted along with flu like symptoms, snotty noses and sore throats. (my kids loved the soya spaghetti bolognaise)

I then started researching, we had always been a healthy conscious family, always getting our daily five.

I couldn't understand why it was one of the children constantly ill when I viewed us as a really health family .

With four young children, school runs etc were difficult when one was sick.

So oh boy was I shocked when I learnt about soya products.

Soy has received a huge amount of press over the last decade. It has been touted as nothing short of a miracle food.

Before you slurp back a glass of soya milk in lieu of an-other mainstream beverage,consider this:

soy is the most mucus-forming plant food on the planet, The form of mucus it creates is called mucoid matter - not to be confused with mucus membrane.

This mucus is a sticky,splurge-like substance that holds up the body's flow and productivity.

It accumulates and creates respiratory distress in asthmatics, creates common digestive problems like IBS (irritable bowel syndrome), and by down the body's digestion and circulation systems, ultimately triggers weight gain and premature ageing.

You are probably wondering about all those healthy Japanese, who are supposedly living on soy.

The truth is, the Japanese do not eat nearly as much soy as soy product manufacturers would have us believe.

More to the point, they do not eat the same heavily processed soy products that we eat, like imitation chicken and pseudo-fish.

They are getting edamame pods (soy in it's natural, unprocessed state) and small amounts of tofu.

We misinterpret this to mean that every product listing soy as an ingredients is automatically a "free, guiltless food" with myriad magical properties.

It's a wounder we don't walk on water after consuming them! Soy sauce is fine because it isn't concentrated, meaning it is a liquid rather than a dense food.

You may also employ small amounts of raw miso in recipes. But other than that, you will want to avoid all processed soy products, unless you want to keep reaching for that inhaler !

A nice alternative to milk and a good stepping stone to Nut Milk (Raw Milk)

Rice Dream and Date Milkshake

Rice Dream Milk found in all whole food Stores and most supermarket chains.

Pour your chosen amount into a blender

Place 3 De-stoned Dates in with milk

Whizz and Enjoy

My kids have rice milk on there Raw Granola ( They did not all take to the nut milk, which I happen to live on.)

The rice milk is also nice as a warm drink

Place your chosen amount in a pan

Place in a piece of cinnamon stick

Boil gently

Pour and enjoy.

To Die Or Not To Die..... Vegetarians and Protein

If You Don't Eat Meat And Fish Where Do You Get Your Protein ?

Oh Man How Many Times Have I heard That Question !!!!!!!! lol

There has been a lot of rubbish over the years about how much protein we need.

Both the dairy and meat industry along with certain governments-have had vested interest in telling folk that they will wither away without plenty of animal protein.

So successful has the propaganda been that the minute anyone becomes veggie,the first question they are asked is "But where will you get your protein".

The thing is no matter what you have heard, read or been brainwashed to believe,we can live and grow easily without consuming any animal protein whatsoever.

For example lets look at Some of the largest animals that are herbivores, consuming no meat/fish or dairy whatsoever. The elephant for example is by far the strongest and one of the most muscular land animals.

Then you have Hippos,giraffes,rhinos,Buffalo's deer and even cows.
Not only do you never see them slapping a few burgers on the Barbey you don't see them visiting the Health food store to top up their vitamin B12 either.

These magnificent muscular land animals get all their protein from the vegetation which was designed specifically for them by Nature.

Hence we can easily get our protein from eating fresh 'live fruit, vegetables,nuts and seeds which were specifically designed for us.

Most Nuts contain almost as much protein as red meat and 6 per cent more calcium per 100g than plain yogurt.

In reality, we don't need any protein. what we actually need are amino acids, the building block of protein. The human body requires 23 amino acids.It can manufacture 15 all on its own, but the the other eight we must get from our food.

These are also known as essential amino acids. All of these essential amino acids can be found in the plant kingdom, not just the animal kingdom.

Avocados, ((The best-est scrummiest fruit on the planet,except bananas...lol)) once seen as the dieter's kryptonite because of their fat content, are packed with all the essential amino acids. All fruits, vegetables,nuts and seeds contain plenty of these essential protein building blocks.

It takes the body 20-30 min to use your fruits and veg, none of it wasted, the body uses it all. (Bonus for the dieter)
It can take 2- 3 hrs for the body to use fish for example, a piece of steak even longer.
Very little will be used and the rest will be stored as fat sitting on your intestines never to leave, throw in some chips with that steak and you are looking at several hours even longer.
(Not so good for the dieter - The longer your body is working on digesting that waste, the less time it is burning those excess pounds you want to lose).

How long do you go between meals .....?

What do you think is going to happen when you eat again !!!!! yup it sits there while you throw in your spag bol or lasagna then you feel even more exhausted.

The body cant use it all so it stores it,,,, you get bigger more tireder then sicker.

Although with time green juicing can clean out this waste matter along with colonic ( another topic for another time). But constant abuse of these foods will lead to disease eventually in one form or another.

I am not saying you have to go 100% Raw you can make little changes. When I started this journey I did not know were i would end up.

I went more Raw as I liked how I was feeling.

No longer tired all the time, no longer needing pain killers for pain, ( I actually used to suffer the pain as I have never been one for pain killers)

The level of Raw that I am now never happened over night.

It was not a difficult journey, I juiced or had a smoothie first thing, snacked on fruit till lunch.

I would probably have a smoothie for lunch occasionally some chopped veg and hummus.

I would then snack on fruit until dinner.

my dinner would be a massive salad of grated vegetables and fruit, with hummus, nuts and avocados.

Finished off with Raw ice cream and occasionally a glass of wine.

Eventually the desire to have such a large meal in the evening disappeared, although I do still occasionally eat a large meal.

One thing that did go is processed food,( specially bread and pasta )and yes I occasionally had it , but eventually it really does lose it's addictiveness.

So the next time your child refuses to eat their meat or pasta but screams out for more green beans or sweet corn.

Don't worry it might not satisfy you !!!! But your little one is still getting all he/she needs.

For the record I was a big veggie,,,,,,Lived on Pasta.....What is Pasta !!!!! Do you know ? (chemicals ) Had I known what I know now Id of stuck with the meat......!

That is a big statement for someone that would never consider meat as a food source again, however again for the record if we had a plane crash and you died. An it was down to survival then yeah sorry I would eat you ( Sorry..... so laughing now)

Raw Energy

fruit and Vegetables provide Raw Energy.......... Why !!!!

Have you ever felt tired after a meal consisting of cooked and processed food ? (Yes)

Have you ever felt tired after eating a bag of oranges/grapes or apples ? (No)

All of Nature's foods have been more or less pre-digested by the plant,and all contains digestive enzymes,leaving the body very little work to do.

One of the most energy-consuming processes the human body undertakes is the digestion,assimilation and elimination of the wrong kinds of food.

Because nature's foods have been pre-digested this is why you can eat as many oranges etc as you like but not feel sleepy, yet a large bowl of pasta can have you in sleepy land before you know it.

As scary as this may sound,what's actually happening when you "doze off" after eating that meal or cake is that the body doesn't have enough energy to keep you alive and awake at the same time.

In order for the body to try and turn this semi-dead 'food' into some sort of usable body fuel and extract the waste it creates, it needs energy.

The entire process of digestion, assimilation and elimination can take hours, days, months and even years. In some cases the process never fully happens.

It is really important to give good long periods in-between meals to allow the body to finish the job. Even better idea, replace the cooked meal with a raw one.

Take the processed cereal and milk breakfast away that you have each morning and replace it with a large portion of fruit or a smoothie, and even better than that a juice, even less work for your body to do.

A smoothie still has the bulk/fibre in it, where as with a juice this as been extracted through the juicing machine. I like to vary both. And some days I just want to eat it plain and simple the way nature provided it.

Why smoothie or juice ?

Simple really !!! It is a guaranteed way of getting all the good guys into your body which you probably would not do if you had to prepare it and chew it.

You truly would be eating all day long.......

We all have certain fruits and veg we don't like. By juicing or blending them you get the goodness from them. If mixed with other ingredient you wont even taste it.

Try a week at keeping your food light through the day, Smoothies, juices, chopped fruit and veg, dried fruit and nuts, the list really is endless.

Give your body what it needs to work.

Give it a rest, You truly will have so much more energy.

If you really cant live with out that cooked meal ? Then try leaving it to the end of the day. When you are likely to be chilling out, late evening ect.

My guess though is in time you will start favouring Raw over cooked, simply because of how it makes you feel.

I am in no way suggesting you give up all the things you truly love !!!! If you don't want too.

However, next time you are feeling tired or groggy when you wake up in the morning. Constantly getting a cold or feeling under the weather, Just not your self.

THEN.........Ask your self !

Do you need chocolate, cake, cooked food.

Or is your body crying out for it's much needed fuel.

Let Fruit Be Thy Medicine.

You have no excuse it takes no time to prepare......

Recipies

When approaching her son...... (my "life" sister) she accidentally caught his face with her hand.

While trying to apologise to him her son responded with.

"Don't worry Mummy it didn't hurt.......! I'm made of Broccoli.

I have such an Awesome nephew ((Hugs))!!!!!!

Green And Red Smoothie

2 Red Apples
Large Bunch of Parsley
2 Medium Carrots
1/2 Cup Filtered Water (or ice cubes)
Whizz
Pour

Quick, Easy ,Cheap.

Full of everything you need in a glass !!!!!



Raw Ice Cream

5 ripe bananas
1 Teaspoon of pure vanilla extract
Whizz in blender until smooth
Place in a sealed container
Freeze overnight or for 6-7 hrs

When ready..... Simply enjoy

You can add anything to this... fruit chunky or blended down.

I like to add in nuts, dates and honey !!!

Simple salad (which I had this evening)

Grated carrot x1
Sliced cucumber whole large one
Green apple x1
Avocado Blender down to make sauce.
( I used to love mayonnaise on my salad for a long time. That was one thing that stopped me from being 100% Raw)
Nuts and raisins.

No Way !!!!!

While walking around the fruit market this morning with my youngest son, I was stopped in my tracks by a comment I overheard.

A women was telling her child that she could not have any more grapes !!!!!!.
Ok Mums the boss !!!!!!

However then came out the crack of the day. "Listen" she said "we are going in the cafe in a minute, if you eat all your Fish and Chips, I will get you a chocky bar".

Oh man !!!!!!! come on. Dead - cooked , fat storing, heart sticking, disease making, waste matter, No longer nutrient based any more....... was to win over a gorgeous bag of red grapes.

Full of water, vitamins, minerals,amino acids, anti-cancer blasters. And yes carbs. That child's body was being fed by pure sunshine.

Nothing was going to be stored it was all going to exit and be used.

Who really wanted fish and chips and a choc bar !!!!!!

Any way that child screamed the place down (Laughing loads now) and Mum didn't get her dinner....!

The little girl returned to her happy self sat in the trolley eating her grapes (were she had been quite happily munching before her mother took them away).....lol.

The mother cant be knocked she is following the rules,,, We have all been educated to think that is what makes a balanced diet. We have been programmed to enjoy the taste.

Why is disease increasing...... ? Certainly not because we are eating our apple a day, that's for sure.

I was once there at the beginning !!!!! shouting at my children for refusing there food.

Gosh I sure am soooo, grateful those days are behind me now.

My children eat everything now, (of course Raw) no bribing necessary.

They are much more happy, balanced children.

My oldest son was so poorly with asthma before going raw. I really felt the next attack which lasted for days was going to kill him.

Since going Raw he has not even had a sniffle and as actually gained weight.
This is down to the fact that he is now not constantly poorly.

Fact:- Raw food saved his life that I am sure of.

Doctors just gave him a steroid inhaler and sent him on is merry way. (no I am not Anti-Doctors)


So funny !!!!!

My oldest son brought a letter home tonight from school. The letter in-formed us that there was a outbreak of head-lice in his class.

I then said to him that if he was going to carry on growing his hair we need to consider tying it back like his sister as to.

His answer was "Mum... The teacher said nits only go to clean hair". lol(Classic)

Chocolate Brownies ( I did not make them today but here is the recipe)

1 cup of nuts- walnuts, Almonds (whatever you fancy) soak 3 ish hrs
1 cup of pitted dates (I like Medjool Dates)
3 Tablespoons of Carob Powder (Type in carob on-line, you will find a on-line shop)

Blend all the ingredients in your food processor until it all gels together.
Place in a dish.

Chill in cooler for 2-3 hrs (If mixture does not form well together add more dates)

I love a piece of this with ???? You guessed it, chopped up banana. More Laughter ...

My In-take today;

Cold lemon tea (Mad ..Morning... lol)
4 litres of water (on my last 2 ltr bottle now)
Green Blast - Juiced 3 large bunches of spinach
Juiced 3 lemons
Juiced 2 green apples

This is so hard core drinking, I could never of drank that in the beginning.

I have felt a little groggy the last few days. Not unwell....., There is a ton of different bugs going around at the moment that I did not think it would hurt to give myself a bit of added love.

Did the trick. Felt wicked straight after.......(Laughter)

1 full cucumber

1 mango, 1 Avocado, 1 banana all chopped up in a bowl

2 bananas,handful of sunflower seeds
swimming in avgar

Another green juice.

5 satsumas

I eat a lot of fruit, I wonder if this time next year I will be a fruitarian.

I rarely eat large bowls of salad now. ( I juice them )

Strength........

I have always loved him.........

Told myself the moment I saw him that he was the man I was going to marry.

But why then does it take such drastic changes in our norm for us to stand back and go.... Oh man that was a really bad call.

I am married ( for close to 13 yrs now ) to a soldier who follows a Raw food vegetarian diet when at home... Why ????????

Trusted me enough..... to also allow me to make our children also follow a raw vegetarian lifestyle.

Although he know this is a very healthy way of life, he would happily eat a cooked diet more so. (for the love of taste) He follows it, why ???

Purely because he loves me.......

He still likes his cooked food, he can take or leave meat as that is something we haven't really had much of in our home since the start of our marriage.

As you know he is a soldier so I am used to him coming and going....!!!

My soldier loves the outdoors, so when the opportunity came for him to take a job that allowed him to be outside more often we jumped at the opportunity.

But here is the problem !!!!! I didn't go.

I did not want to move from here.

So we made a decision for him to go and to commute each weekend....Fine !
At the moment though he is away in Oman so he wont be home for a few weeks, also fine.

The individual separation's are not the problem it is them both together.....I am sure starting to miss him loads.

So this today was for you baby. I MISS YOU...... Thank You for finding me too. ((Hugs)) to you.

Winter and Raw!!!!!!!!!!

This will be my first winter 100% Raw

I know I will never go back to cooked food now, I simply do not like the taste anymore.

And I guess you ask????? So what is the problem then ?

Well simply the desire for comforting food's which I think we all tend to lean towards in the cold winter months.
I have already started with a obsession for Bananas and nuts, which I know is my bread replacement.
This is something I used to eat a lot of in the winter.

I have not got a Dehydrator as I love the simpleness of my fruit and veg. I guess I may need to keep an open mind as to whether I end up buying one this winter.

My Intake Today:

I juiced 3 lemons poured into a glass and added ice.
For lunch I blended 3 tomatoes and added some sea salt and pepper.
I also had a Banana and satsuma.
Lotsa water......
Banana and nut crunch with strawberry sauce (see previous blog on how to make).
Avocado Dip with chopped vegetables.
Nut milk with cinnamon and honey.
Yum and another nut milk lol.

Tomorrow is my green smoothie day, as I have not started on the beautiful fresh organic vegetables my friend so kindly gifted me with yesterday.

My aim this week is to get some more time to exercise... hmmm I hear you say.

Ever heard the saying Not enough hours in the day..... Well this mamma is feeling real sluggish at the moment. So more hours please I need my exercise lol...x

I will now bid you all good evening as I am now going to embark on an evening adventure....Some much needed deep meditation.

Gifts !

Yesterday was a very spiritual day in our home.......
I spent my day gifting people with card reading's, Reiki and distant Reiki.
I also spent some time giving myself some much needed Reiki. I do not treat myself with this gift half as much as I really should.
I also did a meditation in the evening before sleeping.

A friend of mine gave me a beautiful gift yesterday day.
She gave me something from her home, she no longer wanted, but knew it would be perfect for me. ((Hugs))
It is a candle burner and when lit gives off the most beautiful smell.
In the dark mornings when I rise I light it in our sitting room.
It gives such beautiful light and the feeling of warmth.

My babe (Husband) mailed me today.... he is in Oman at the moment doing some military training.
We have not been able to talk on the telephone so it was so lovely to hear he was safe.((Hugs to you babe I do miss you ! ))

And then this evening I went outside to find another friend of mine had left me a very large box of spinach and beetroot. How lucky am I !!!!!!
I am surrounded by so many special people.

But to name a few, I want to say thank you to ......

Clare (My sister) For always being there.
Rachel For you gift of light
Erika For the beautiful green and purple juices I will be serving up tomorrow.

Tomorrow is a special day, my little girl turns six ((Oh boy were did the time go))

Today was a water fast day.... I like to do them more at the weekends when the children are home. I am not rushing around as much.
Today the children ate:

They started the day with OJ
Then Smoothie
And another smoothie
Strawberries
Raw Bread with nut Butter
Oranges
Bananas
Raw Bars
OJ
Smoothies
Raisins
Granola balls
Apples
Banana Chips
Slightly Toasted Raw Bread and Nut Butter.
And I am sure I will of missed a few things!!!!!!!

4 Bags of Oranges,,,,,,, Man they were hungry today....lol

We got loads of fresh air today, It was a cool day with no breeze.
I have now got the evening chores to do, but hoping to get on my re-bounder and do some weights before retiring for the night.
